Bitdefender tops AV-Test rankings for the year 2011

We’re happy to announce that Bitdefender Internet Security was deemed to be “best protection” in the Home User Products category for the year 2011, by AV-Test.

AV-Test made the decision based on a series of comparative protection (threat blocking), removal and usability tests. Bitdefender topped the protection category and came in second in the other two for a first place overall.

Viorel Canja commented that the result was due to “very good cooperation between the product teams and the labs” and went on to remark that this high praise also “sets a very high bar for 2012” in terms of performance.
